The legal news circuit is reporting that figure skater Nancy Kerrigan's brother has been charged with manslaughter in the recent death of their father in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The father, Daniel Kerrigan, was 70-years-old at the time of his passing in January. The legal news circle has reported that, Mark Kerrigan, who is now age 45, had allegedly got into a drunken rage over the use of the house telephone, which was alleged to be a reoccurring battle, and this ultimately lead to the manslaughter charges associated with the father's death. The legal news circuit has reported that the prosecution in the case is alleging that Mark Kerrigan had grabbed his father by the neck, during an argument, causing a compression fracture in Daniel Kerrigan's larynx. They allege that this lead to Daniel Kerrigan's untimely death, to which he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The current legal news surrounding the story is that the manslaughter charges include assault and battery involving an elderly person leading to serious bodily injury. He was released on a $10,000 bail after psychiatric evaluation.
